A few weeks ago, during Chanukah, I saw and heard from many people saying “How can it be Chanukah already? It still feels like Simchat Torah,” as if to say that the world is still perpetually at October 7th or the day after, that we haven’t moved from there. It’s December, which is the start of my favorite part of the year here in Tampa! The oppressive humidity has begun to dissipate, students get time off for winter break, and Chanukah is upon us.
