Jennifer West Education Director

Jennifer West has been a proud resident of North Tampa for 26 years. As the daughter of an Air Force family, Jennifer spent her childhood moving frequently, an experience that helped her quickly adapt and build connections wherever she went. She relocated to Tampa in 1998 with her family, including her parents, Anita and Herman Greenberg, who retired in the area.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned her teaching credentials from the University of South Florida. She has been teaching high school Social Studies and Mathematics in Hillsborough and Pasco Counties for 26 years, and currently serves on the faculty at Gaither High School.

Deeply committed to the Jewish community, Jennifer has dedicated over 26 years to religious school education in Tampa, including 9 years at Congregation Kol Ami. Her three children are alumni of Kol Ami’s Religious School, Kol Yeladim. Jennifer is married to Michael West and is also a proud stepmother to two children.

As Director of Education at Congregation Kol Ami, Jennifer is passionate about fostering a love of learning and Jewish values in the next generation.
