Shalom Kol Ami!
This past month, we held our Annual Welcome Back Kickoff Open House which was a great success!
It was wonderful to see such an enthusiastic turnout, and it was great to see attendees stop by our volunteer tables to discuss various activities in the synagogue and find out ways to get involved.
I am pleased to announce that we have found a new Treasurer for the synagogue. Randall Warkel has graciously stepped in and accepted the nomination to the Board of Trustees. When you get a chance, please stop to congratulate Randall and thank him for taking on this challenging and important role.
A hearty Yasher Koach to Dan Ochman and the Social Committee for a successful “Kol Ami goes to the Rays game”! The event was well-attended with 85 Kol Ami members and friends. For this year’s Jewish Community Day, a Tampa Bay Rays hat specially designed for this game was given to all who attended through their various Jewish organizations. To top it off, the opponent was the New York Yankees who the Rays beat 7 – 4!
Our Membership Committee has been busy welcoming new members to the Kol Ami Family! Carlos Romay and his team have been actively recruiting and onboarding new members. We are now back to the membership levels last seen pre-Covid and are continuing to see new faces on a weekly basis. Keep cheering on your synagogue to all your Jewish family and friends as “Word of Mouth” is our best advertising.
The High Holidays are almost here. Once again, we are pleased to have Nachum Peterseil join Rabbi Blatt and our congregation volunteers to lead Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. I look forward to an exciting and spiritual experience and hope to see everyone over the holidays.
