Wow, 2024 has begun with blistering speed! In January, we held our Prom Night Gala Annual Fundraiser, which was a flashback for some people to their high school years. For those of you in your teens during the 80’s, I think I spotted a Trapper Keeper! Thank you again to all our sponsors, attendees, volunteers, and Gala Committee. The event was well-planned, well-executed, well-attended, and a lot of fun. Then, the first week in February, Congregation Kol Ami celebrated with our Adult B’nai Mitzvah Class as they chanted prayers, read from the Torah, and treated us to stories of their personal journey to get to that day. Mazel Tov to Sharon Cross, Steve Freedman, Enid Gildar, Ruth Kline, Max Rattes, Recia Richman, Judith Rosenblatt, Jody Sampson-Nair, Isla Smith, MK Williams, and Gerald Woods. Their hard work and dedication were apparent as they led us through Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat Services. Of course, we thank Ethel Pila, Rabbi Blatt, and all the others who helped guide them along their voyage.
Coming up, on Monday February 26th, is our Annual Congregational Meeting, which starts at 8pm. You have received the documents for the meeting that were emailed to the congregation on January 24th. We hope that you can attend.
