As summer draws to a close, we have been busy here at Kol Ami. The annual Kol Ami Kickoff/Open House is happening on Sunday, August 20th, and I encourage everyone to attend. Come meet with members of our volunteer committees to find out all the exciting things happening at your synagogue. There will be food, arts & crafts, and even a comedy/magic show. Beat the summer heat in our fully air-conditioned Social Hall!

The Kol Yeladim team is hard at work planning out the curriculum for the upcoming school year. Clergy, staff, and volunteers are in the midst of preparing for the High Holy Days, and you will soon receive your information packages in the mail. The Sisterhood and Brotherhood have a calendar full of scheduled events. Please keep an eye out for flyers via email with information on the upcoming events, and as usual, you can log on to kolami.org to see the list of activities happening. Our Adult B’nai Mitzvah class starts this month; please contact Rabbi Blatt or Ethel Pila, if you are interested in attending.

Friday and Saturday Shabbat Services will be held back in the Main Sanctuary going forward.  Please join us for services as your schedule allows. For all our congregants with school-age children, I would like to take this time to wish you and your students a stress-free and successful school year!
