Congregational Chanukah Party: Glow in the Dark Chanukah Celebration

Wednesday, December 1, 2021 27 Kislev 5782

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Hillel says that we light one candle on the first night of Chanukah and increase the amount by one everyday.  Why?  Because we should only go up in holiness.

Join us in increasing holiness at Congregation Kol Ami during Chanukah this year!

Create a Chanukah and light inspired art piece to be displayed in the dark at our Chanukah Party!

Guidelines:

-It should be Chanukah or Judaic related (How is your Jewish world inspired by light?)

-It must have some sort of light element (it will be displayed in the dark)

-It cannot have any flames (only light bulb, LED, glow in the dark paint, etc)

Ideas:

-Glow in the dark Chanukiyah

-A dreidel that creates different shadows when it spins

-A Torah scroll with specific words lit up

How do I add light?

-Glow in the dark paint

-LED candles

-string lights

-Please, No Open Flames!

-light bulbs/blacklight

-Glow in the dark stars and stickers

-Glow sticks, necklaces and bracelets

-Glow in the dark yarn or thread
