Leishev BaSukkah

One of the most important Sukkot related mitzvot is to “Leishev BaSukkah” to “dwell” or sit in the sukkah.  The minimum that the rabbis suggest one can do is to go into the sukkah, say kiddush, have a seat and a quick nosh.  Kol Ami is offering our congregants the ability to do this in several ways during the week of Sukkot.

Sukkot Meals

Congregants can register to have a meal with their household in the Congregation’s Sukkah during Sukkot. You may register your household of up to 6 people to gather for dinner. There will be a total of three (3) households in the Sukkah during each time slot. If you wish to sign up with other families for the same time slot, you may do so by doing an additional registration for the other families at the time you register for your family. Only registered households will be allowed.

You can bring a dairy or parve picnic meal and any beverages you need. There will be no amenities supplied (I.E. tablecloths, paper products, plasticware). Each family will have one (1) hour to fulfill the mitzvah of Leishev BaSukkah. We ask that you be prompt and leave the Sukkah clean and neat.  There will be one bathroom available in the building.  We ask that you do not rinse food items in those sinks.

Times and dates available for meal registration are:
