The Pharisees, Sadducees, Zealots, and Essenes followed their own variety of Judaism and the Jews in the Diaspora incorporated many pagan practices in their every day observance. Whether you are just a participant, are a leader, or would like to be a leader,there is much you can learn to help the annual Seder be rewarding and enjoyable for all. We will discuss the meaning of the holiday and its contradictions, as well as explore different haggadot and special Passover books. Get tips on making the Seder run smoothly and keeping guests interested by using fun, games, and songs for kids and grown-ups, and more engaging activities geared for teenagers and adults. (Gary’s original songs are perennial favorites, and he’s sure to offer a few new ones this year!)
